Join us for the opening of Amant’s Fall 2026 Exhibitions, Sentient Earth and Matthew Lutz-Kinoy’s The Mud Room: Itinerant Artists, Folk Spectacles, and Painted Walls.

Sentient Earth brings together works by twenty-eight international artists contending with the ways extractive technologies shape lived environments and shifting perceptions of the planet. Their artworks foreground the hidden dimensions of extraction across varied artistic strategies and a multiplicity of media, including kinetic sculpture, anamorphic painting, and video installations.

Taking place concurrently at Amant’s AZ gallery, The Mud Room: Itinerant Artists, Folk Spectacles, and Painted Walls is an exhibition by Matthew Lutz-Kinoy developed with visiting collaborators Natsuko Uchino and Kazunori Hamana. Reflecting on the work and positions of artists, artisans, potters, and muralists whose lasting impressions on society have shaped our domestic and public spaces, the exhibition at Amant considers the gallery as a ceramic studio and the studio as a theater—a stage hosting narratives of collaboration, transmission, and influence.

The reception will begin at 6 pm on Thursday, September 17, and will span all four of our galleries located at 306 Maujer, 315 Maujer, and 932 Grand.
